| This international french swap (France, Belgien, Germany, Switzerland and Canada) was organized from Sarah Laeremans who had to make 2 groups because we where so many participants coming from the french liste Patchpassion ! On the 15th of each month we had to send a block to the next participant listed. | ||||
| Cet échange international (France, Belgique, Allemagne, Canada, Suisse) francophone a été mise en place par Sarah Laeremans qui dut scinder les participantes en 2 groupes tellement il y avait de volontaires provenant de la liste Patchpassion ! Au 15 de chaque mois nous devions envoyer un bloc à une participante listée dans un ordre précis. | ||||

Je dois confesser que Pamela n´était pas dans
le même groupe que moi et il n´y aurait pas du y avoir d´échanges
entre nous. Mais je suis immédiatement tombée amoureuse de la première
grenouille qu´elle fit et je lui demandais si elle pouvait envisager un
échange entre nous deux. J´avais un peu mauvaise conscience car Pam a
été longtemps malade et handicapée par un problème dos/bras qui l´a
fait beaucoup souffrir et aussi prendre du retard dans les nombreux
projets personnels qu´elle mène. Elle a eu la gentillesse d´accepter et de me faire plaisir. Encore merci Pam! |

I must confess that Pamela was not in the same
group as I and we should not have get a frog from the other. But I
immediately fell in love with the 1st frog she hand-appliqued. I emailed
her, asked if she would say yes to a swap between we two. I did not
feel quite ok when I asked, because she had big health problems with her
back and shoulder, and pain. She suffered a lot and had to postpone many
other projects in her quilting-studio. She was so kind to accept and to make me a big pleasure. Thanks again Pam! |

I decided to include in this quilt older blocks
I got from other occasions. 2 Blocks came to me in 1999 from an
international Birthday-Swap which did not really work... I got only 2 blocks from 10 or 12 I should have gotten... swaps may be fun but some participants are bad players who ignore the rules. The swap-mom tried really to motivate her participants ... but ... without no real success. Since this swap I am quite "sceptical" about swaps. |

| Je décidais d´inclure dans ce quilt des blocs reçus lors d´autres occasions. 2 blocs me venaient d´un échange-bloc-anniversaire international organisé en 1998 mais qui n´a pas vraiment marché. Je reçus seulement 2 blocs des 10 ou 12 que j´aurai du recevoir, les échanges sont vraiment trés sympathiques mais il faut savoir qu´il existe des participantes qui ignorent les règles du jeu. L´organisatrice de cet échange a vraiment essayé de motiver les participantes ... mais ... sans aucun grand résultat. Depuis cette expérience je suis "prudente" en ce qui concerne les échanges. | ||||

| Then I got 2001 wonderful blocks als "thank you" from some members of the french list Patchpassion who gratulate me to mother-day with wonderful blocks, designed from Françoise Labio. Endly I could take some of these blocks to get integrated in this frog´s quilt. | ||||
| Ensuite j´avais aussi reçu en 2001 de très beaux blocs de certains membres de la liste française Patchpassion qui voulaientt ainsi me remercier en me fêtant la "fête des mères" en couleurs. Le bloc (couture sur papier) a été créé par Françoise Labio. Enfin je pouvais intégrer quelques uns de ces beaux blocs dans le quilt aux grenouilles. | ||||
